Our Mission

As an institution of post-secondary education, the Headquarters Academy strives to advance individuals through knowledge and creativity. Our Cosmetology program is designed to develop practical skills and the basic theoretical knowledge required to provide professional care for the hair, skin and nails. This coursework enables them to successfully pass the state licensing examination, and to secure entry level employment in the field of hair styling and cosmetology. This institution is proud to advocate for and adhere to the laws, regulations, and guidelines established by the United States Department of Education, the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences and North Dakota State Board of Cosmetology.

Headquarters Academy is welcoming, and offers open admission to students who meet its minimum qualifications. People attending the school come from a variety of states around the country. The Headquarters Academy of Hair Design is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). It is licensed through the North Dakota State Board of Cosmetology.

“I love The Headquarter Academy of Hair Design, As a single mother things in life can sometimes get hectic and they have always been very understanding and flexible when thing came up and I needed to take a leave, when I couldn’t find childcare. The staff is very friendly and always there to help you, I feel that I have been taught with all the skills that I need, help me to succeed in the field of cosmetology. They have given me the opportunity to have a career in something, I’ve always wanted to do. If I had to go back and choose my school again I would still choose The Headquarters.”

I enjoy attending The Headquarters Academy of Hair Design, the Instructors are informative, educated, and always helpful. I’ve only been attending for a few weeks but the students in my class are quickly becoming a small family to me. I’m excited for our future.
